SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Richard G. Moritz Sr. of Milan, who
4passed away on October 10, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Moritz was born to George and Opal
6(Bayness) Moritz on February 13, 1939; he served in the U.S.
7Air Force and married Sharon M. Reding on May 12, 1961, and she
8preceded him in death on October 1, 2007; he married Linda
9Twitty on April 4, 2008; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Moritz worked as an inspector and
11repairman at Farmall for many years; he retired from Navistar
12in 1993; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Richard Moritz's hobbies included riding
14motorcycles and snowmobiles, working on old hot rods, and
15following Nascar; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Moritz was preceded in death by his first
17wife, Sharon; his son, Joe Dale Moritz; and his sister,
18Phyllis Kelley; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Moritz is survived by his wife, Linda;
20his children, Richard "Rich" (Reya) and Randy (Lisa) Moritz;

1his grandchildren, Joseph, Kaylie, Seth, Zach, and Michael;
2his great-grandson, Ivan; and several nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Richard G. Moritz Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Richard Moritz as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
