SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Eldon Bradley of Lynn Center, who
4passed away on September 3, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley was born to Leroy and Mable (Adams)
6Bradley in Cutbank, Montana on May 19, 1945; he served in the
7U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married Linda Riner in
8Denver, Colorado on November 16, 1977; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley worked on oil rigs in Montana for
10the Texas Oil Company as a young man; he was a fabricator for
11Coors and later for Alcoa; he and his wife also owned and
12operated Nan and Paps Apple Butter; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley was a member of the Ophiem VA,
14where he held the title of adjunct; he was in charge of the
15VA's monthly meetings and helped place flags on veterans'
16graves for Memorial Day; he was also a valued member of Ophiem
17American Legion Post 1077; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley enjoyed gardening and farming; he
19was an expert carpet installer and enjoyed being able to help
20his family with his skills; and

1    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley was preceded in death by his
2parents; his son, Tyge Saylors; and two sisters; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Eldon Bradley is survived by his wife; his
4children, Shane "Bud" (Krista) Bradley, Gwenn Bradley, W. Tim
5(Susan) Sullivan, D. Mark (Jennifer) Sullivan, and Angie
6(Kelly) Saylors-Bundy; 15 grandchildren; and one
7great-grandson; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Eldon Bradley and extend our sincere condolences to his
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Eldon Bradley as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
