SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Anthony Penca of Silvis, who passed
4away on July 18, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was born to Anthony and Theresa
6(Perkovic) Penca in Silvis on June 10, 1927; he served his
7country in the U.S. Army from April 22, 1946 to May 8, 1950; he
8was squad leader of Military Police 677 in Japan and was
9awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of
10Occupation Medal Japan; he married Bernadette Tragarz in
11Moline on October 10, 1953; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Anthony Penca worked as a superintendent of
13maintenance at International Harvester; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was a member of Christ the King
15Catholic Church in Moline; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Anthony Penca was preceded in death by his
17parents; his twin brother, Joseph Penca; and his
18sister-in-law, Ursula Penca; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Anthony Penca is survived by his wife; his
20children, Pamela (Mark) Schwigen, Tony (Kari) Penca, Paula

1Penca, and Matt (Trish) Penca; his grandchildren, Christopher
2(Hanalei Darbar) Schwigen, Patrick (Chelley) Schwigen, Haleigh
3Penca, Jordan Penca, and Jonah Penca; and his
4great-grandchildren, Olic Schwigen and Arlo Schwigen;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Anthony Penca and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Anthony Penca as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
