SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James P. Redington of Rock Island, who
4passed away on April 23, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Redington was born to Michael and Rose
6(McCulley) Redington in Rock Island on June 20, 1936; he
7graduated from Alleman High School; he received a bachelor's
8degree from St. Ambrose University; he served in the U.S.
9Army; he married Sharon Sullivan in Moline on February 16,
101963; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Redington retired as a program analyst from
12the U.S. Armaments Command after over 20 years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Redington was an avid golfer and Green Bay
14Packers fan; after retirement, he enjoyed trips to Florida
15with his wife, Sharon; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Redington was preceded in death by his
17parents; his brother, Michael; and his sisters, Jeanne and
18Peggy; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Redington is survived by his wife, Sharon;
20his daughter, Molly Rea; his sons, John (Robin) Redington and

1Jay Redington; his grandchildren, Katie Rea, Andrew Rea, Danny
2Redington, Ben Redington, and Anna Redington; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5James P. Redington and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of James Redington as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
