SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Curtis R. Koepping of Hillsdale, who
4passed away on March 16, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping was born to Frank and Beatrice
6(Knochenmus) Koepping in Hillsdale on September 30, 1929; he
7served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married Arlys
8Ernst in Port Byron on December 12, 1971; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping worked for J.I. Case, Bettendorf;
10he retired in 1987; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping attended Countryside Christian
12Church until his health deteriorated; he enjoyed doing
13yardwork, tending to his flowers, riding his bicycle, taking
14long walks with his dogs, and grocery shopping; most of all, he
15enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his
16grandson, Josh; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping was preceded in death by his
18parents; his sisters, Marilyn Koepping and Marcella Koepping;
19and his sisters-in-law, Aleta Dean and Patricia Ernst; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Curtis Koepping is survived by his wife, Arlys;

1his child, Dana (Andy) Hergert; his grandson, Josh Larimer;
2his granddog, Savannah; his sister, Betty Busch; his
3brother-in-law, Allen Ernst; and multiple nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Curtis R. Koepping and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Curtis Koepping as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
