SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Brian L. Kempf of Rock Island, who
4passed away on February 16, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was born to August and Gladys
6Muhleman Kempf in Rock Island on May 3, 1946; he graduated from
7Rock Island High School in 1964; he served in the U.S. Navy
8during the Vietnam War; he graduated from Western Illinois
9University; he continued his studies and received an
10additional degree from Black Hawk College; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was employed with Handy True Value
12Hardware for many years; he also enjoyed working with
13computers; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was an avid supporter and attendee of
15Rock Island High School sports; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Brian Kempf was preceded in death by his parents
17and his sister, Donna Willis; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Brian Kempf is survived by his brothers, Marvin
19(Susan) Kempf, Kenneth Kempf, and William "Bill" (Joelyn)
20Kempf; his many nieces and nephews; and other family members;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Brian L. Kempf and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Brian Kempf as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
