SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Douglas R. "Doug" Baze of Moline, who
4passed away on January 7, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Doug Baze was born to Ralph and Roberta (Wesner)
6Baze in Geneseo on February 17, 1945; he graduated from Orion
7High School in 1963; he served in the U.S. Marine Corps; he
8married Anita Hohenmauer on October 2, 1971, and she preceded
9him in death on March 31, 1990; he married Alice Kraklow Smith
10on September 28, 1991; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Doug Baze drove a truck for Allied Stone Quarry
12for 20 years; he also drove for Greater Quad City Auto Auction;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Doug Baze was a NASCAR fan, with Dale Earnhardt
15Sr. being a favorite, and he attended many races over the
16years; he was also a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Doug Baze is survived by his wife, Alice; his
18sister, Christine (Robert) Wells; and his many nieces,
19nephews, and extended family; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Douglas R. "Doug" Baze and extend our sincere condolences to
3his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Doug Baze as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
