SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Wayne Arnold Forgie Sr. of Moline, who
4passed away on January 10, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Wayne Forgie was born to William and Lillian
6(LaGrange) Forgie in Davenport, Iowa on June 1, 1928; he
7married Beverly Lavine in Moline on July 13, 1957; he proudly
8served in the U.S. Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Wayne Forgie worked at the Rock Island Lines as a
10machinist for 17 years; he then worked for International
11Harvester for 26 years, retiring in 1988 as a foreman; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Wayne Forgie loved traveling and cruise ship
13vacations and casinos; he was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs
14fan; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Wayne Forgie was preceded in death by his
16parents; his brother, Leonard Forgie; his sisters, Marcella
17(Bill) Archer and Delores (Irvin) Hill; and his sister-in-law
18and brothers-in-law, Betty (Carl) Hungate and Burdette Lavine;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Wayne Forgie is survived by his beloved wife of

1over 64 years, Beverly; his children, William Forgie, Wayne
2(Jan) Forgie Jr., Donald (Patty) Forgie, Micheal (Penny)
3Forgie, Daniel (Angel) Forgie, Ronald (Cindy) Forgie, and
4Steven (Laurie) Forgie; his 13 grandchildren; his 18
5great-grandchildren; his three great-great-grandchildren; his
6sister-in-law, Ann Lavine; and his niece and nephew, Linda and
7Garry Behrendts; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Wayne Arnold Forgie Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Wayne Forgie as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
