SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of George Edward Snyder of Holiday
4Shores, who passed away on December 25, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George Snyder was born to Horace J. "Bud" Snyder
6and Mary Katherine (Roe) Snyder in Industry on October 24,
71938; he graduated from Alton High School; he attended Western
8Illinois University; he served as a helicopter mechanic in the
9U.S. Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, George Snyder had a passion for cars and worked
11in automotive and tire sales for over 50 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, George Snyder was an avid golfer and hunter and
13enjoyed fishing; and
 
14    WHEREAS, George Snyder was preceded in death by his
15parents and his former wife, Barbara (Watson) Snyder; and
 
16    WHEREAS, George Snyder is survived by his wife of 27
17years, Linda (Brown-Grable) Snyder; his children, Cathy
18(Jerry) Hertzler, Tom (Cindy) Snyder, Kristen (Matt) Landwehr,
19Brent (Stacey) Grable, Brian (Suzanne) Grable, and Shannon
20(Brian) Farmer; his sister, Mary Sue (Gary) Weitzel; his

1sister-in-law, Maxine Curtis; his brother-in-law, Lowell
2(Mary) Brown; his 12 grandchildren; his five
3great-grandchildren; and his numerous nieces, nephews,
4cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7George Edward Snyder and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of George Snyder as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
