SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Floyd W. Jensen of Moline, who passed
4away on December 18, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was born to Axel and Hildur
6(Hagstrom) Jensen in Moline on May 25, 1939; he graduated from
7Moline High School; he served for two years in the U.S. Army
8and then several years in the Army Reserves; he married
9Rosalie Raymond on May 27, 1960, and they were married for 25
10years before she passed; he married Carol Markey on June 28,
112003, and she preceded him in death in 2018; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen worked for Moline Consumers for many
13years; he then joined E&D Trucking; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was a member of the Teamsters Union
15and served as the Union Steward as well as the President of the
16Teamsters Credit Union; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen enjoyed Nascar and loved to work;
18most of all, he loved his family; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen was preceded in death by his
20parents; his first wife; his second wife; and two sons; and

1    WHEREAS, Floyd Jensen is survived by his sons, Tracy
2(Cindy) Jensen, Jerry (Jeanie) Jensen, and James M. Jensen;
3his stepchildren, Monica Koning, Lori (Steve) Lofgren, Angela
4(Andrew) Stoutenborough, and Berick Snyder; his grandchildren,
5Tara, Joshua, Richard, Alicia, Brant, Shayna, Cody, Blake,
6Amanda, Jonathan, and Katie; many great-grandchildren; his one
7great-great granddaughter; his many step-grandchildren; his
8two step-great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley (Wayne)
9Fatchett and Grace Godwin; and his brother, Marshall (Janet)
10Jensen; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Floyd W. Jensen and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Floyd Jensen as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
