SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Steffen "Steve" R. Weinert of Taylor
4Ridge, who passed away on December 9, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Steve Weinert was born to Otto and Mary (Bulens)
6Weinert in Rock Island on October 2, 1938; he served in the
7U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960; he married Judy Norton on August
83, 1963; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Steve Weinert retired from the Army Corp of
10Engineers in 2000; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Steve Weinert was preceded in death by his
12parents; his sisters, Joanie Weinert and Jackie Klauer; his
13nephew, Kent Klauer; and his grandson, Dylan Weinert; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Steve Weinert is survived by his wife, Judy; his
15children, Lisa (Roy) Steichen, Gerry (Bonnie) Weinert, Clint
16(Glenda) Weinert, Lynne Haines, and Eric (Michele) Weinert;
17his 13 grandchildren; his 10 great-grandchildren; his brother,
18Ed (Anna) Weinert; his two nieces; and his six nephews;
19therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Steffen "Steve" R. Weinert and extend our sincere condolences
3to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
4it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Steve Weinert as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
