SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lucille K. Masching of Pontiac, who
4passed away on November 24, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was born to Joseph Leo and Irene
6(Ready) Kelly in Emington on June 9, 1931; she graduated from
7Dwight High School in 1949; she married Edward P. Masching in
8Loretto on October 20, 1951, and he preceded her in death on
9January 18, 2021; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Lucille Masching worked in office administration
11for the Pontiac Daily Leader and Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac;
12she later worked for Safeco Insurance in Atlanta, Georgia and
13then the Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls,
14Wisconsin; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was a member of St. Mary's
16Catholic Church in Pontiac; she enjoyed writing letters,
17sending cards, and collecting family history and ancestry; she
18loved giving her sons a hard a time as often as she could; she
19was very proud of her Irish heritage; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was preceded in death by her
21parents; her husband, Edward Masching; her grandson, Derek

1Seib; and her brothers, Clare Kelly and Joe Kelly; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Lucille Masching is survived by her children,
3Joyce (Don) Seib, Joan (Richard) Hyde, Mark (Kristy) Masching,
4Kevin (Joni) Masching, and Eric Masching; her brother, Leo
5Kelly; her sisters-in-law, Delores Kelly and Kay Kelly; her
6grandchildren, Brian (Lindsay) Masching, Todd (Jen) Masching,
7Rich (Jamie) Hyde, Kara (Justin) Hoffmann, Brock Masching,
8Kyle (Brittany) Masching, and Larissa (Charles) Johnson; and
9her great-grandchildren, Addison, Bailey, Cayden, Owen,
10Olivia, Damian, Adley, Darren, Arya, Troy, Hannah, Collin,
11Blake, Bryce, and Kamryn; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Lucille K. Masching and extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Lucille Masching as an expression
19of our deepest sympathy.
