SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Francescio "Frank" M. Ramirez of
4Moline, who passed away on November 6, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was born to Florencio and Emelia
6(Robles) Ramirez in Moline on October 4, 1928; he married
7Elvira "Vera" Cervantes in Moline on February 2, 1952; he
8served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received the
9Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, and the National
10Defense Medal; he was also a Golden Gloves boxer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez worked for John Deere Harvester,
12East Moline and Rock Island Packaging; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was a member of the Friends Circle
14Club, the Svithoid Club, and the former Turner's Club, Moline;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez enjoyed playing picks, golfing, and
17bowling; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez was preceded in death by his wife;
19his grandson, Steven McKean; his sisters, Jenny Bustos, Mary
20Solis, Helen Mosqueda, and Vera Ramirez; and his brothers,

1Manuel Ramirez, John Ramirez, and Florencio "Lencho" Ramirez;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Frank Ramirez is survived by his children, Pam
4(Jim) Nye, Mark Ramirez, Cindy (Jerry) Timm, and Paul Ramirez;
5his grandchildren, Jason (Jen) McKean, Kristin (Sarabia)
6Johnson, Chris (Charity) Ramirez, Joshua (Emily) Ramirez, Jess
7(Dee) Timm, Melissa (Robert) Goodwin, and Ryan Sanders; his 12
8great-grandchildren; and his brother, Joe (Helen) Ramirez;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Francescio "Frank" M. Ramirez and extend our sincere
13condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Frank Ramirez as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
