SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James "Jim" Hammond of Moline, who
4passed away on October 18, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Hammond was born to James Albert and Barbara
6(Holmes) Hammond in Joliet on November 5, 1964; he married
7Tracy Kave in Moline on August 8, 1987; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jim Hammond served in the U.S. Marine Corps for
920 years, and he retired as a staff sergeant; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jim Hammond later worked at Mills Chevrolet and
11Elliott Aviation, both in Moline; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jim Hammond was active at Shooting Sports in
13Moline; he enjoyed boating and building model cars; he was
14known for his quick wit; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jim Hammond is survived by his wife, Tracy; his
16sons, Tony (Rachel) Hammond and Alex Hammond; his parents, Jim
17and Barb Hammond; his sisters, Kathe (David) Selby, Ann
18Hammond, and Karen Hammond; his many nieces and nephews; and
19his companion, Piper; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3James "Jim" Hammond and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Jim Hammond as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
