SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kendra Monquie Gorens, who passed away
4on September 15, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kendra Gorens was born in Springfield to Pamela
6S. Gorens and Kenneth E. Lee Jr. on November 25, 1978; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Kendra Gorens was a dental receptionist at Secure
8Dental; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kendra Gorens was a member of Grace United
10Methodist Church; she enjoyed cooking, gambling, traveling,
11and Christmas; she was very giving to friends and family and
12was a devoted follower of fashion; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kendra Gorens was proceeded in death by her
14grandmothers, Geneva Lee and Betty Gorens; her grandfathers,
15Robert Gorens and Kenneth E. Lee Sr.; and her nephew, Jarrin
16Davis; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kendra Gorens is survived by her mother, Pamela
18Gorens; her father, Kenneth E. Lee Jr.; her stepfather,
19Darrell Rogers; her brother, Richard (Jessica) Davis; her
20sisters, Inga (James) Collins and Lakeysha (Terrance) Day; her

1aunt, Murdee Maybery; her uncles, Todd Gorens, Robbie Gorens,
2Wayne Tyler, Troy Tyler, and John Lee; her special friend,
3Desiree Gilmore; her nephew, Tyerell Briscoe; her niece, Aniya
4Briscoe; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, other family
5members, and beloved friends; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Kendra Monquie Gorens and extend our sincere condolences to
9her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Kendra Gorens as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
