SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Lowell W. Titterington of Taylor
4Ridge, who passed away on August 29, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was born to Clifford and
6Florence Bruchmann Titterington in rural Taylor Ridge on
7August 5, 1931; he graduated from the former Reynolds High
8School; he married Phyllis Ann Boney at the Buffalo Prairie
9Presbyterian Church on March 2, 1952; he served in the U.S.
10Army as a field communication crewman during the Korean War
11from 1954 to 1956; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington farmed in the Taylor Ridge
13area all of his life; he was also employed at John Deere
14Harvester in East Moline before retiring in 1987; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was a member of the Edgington
16Presbyterian Church and the Andalusia Masonic Lodge No. 516;
17his passion was stained glass art, and he created many
18beautiful pieces throughout the years; he enjoyed flying
19airplanes, traveling as a member of the Friendship Force Club,
20fishing with his grandchildren, and being with his family; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington was preceded in death by his

1parents and one grandson; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Lowell Titterington is survived by his wife,
3Phyllis; his daughters, Karen (Les) Price, Kathy (Kevin)
4Patterson, Lisa (Butch) Carver, and Lori (Paul) Rash; his
5grandchildren, Amber, Kaitlyn, Kelly, Ralph, Joshua, Julia,
6and Jenna; his great-grandchildren, Clayton, Easton, and Ayla;
7and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Lowell W. Titterington and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Lowell Titterington as an
15expression of our deepest sympathy.
