SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kathleen E. "Kathy" Parker of Glen
4Carbon, formerly of Collinsville, who passed away on July 1,
52021; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was born in East St. Louis on
7November 28, 1942; she graduated from Collinsville High School
8in 1960; she married John E. "Jack" Parker on June 9, 1960; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was employed as an executive
10secretary at Swift Packing Company, Missouri Pacific in the
11Legal Department, and IBM in the Personnel Department; and
 
12    WHEREAS, After returning to college and earning a master's
13degree in Education, Kathy Parker later worked as an
14elementary school teacher in Collinsville Unit #10, where she
15taught for 28 years; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was creative with real estate and
17loved to decorate; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Kathy Parker was preceded in death by her
19parents, William and Monica (Zukas) Wedemeyer, and her
20sisters, Dorothy Mae and Mary Jane; and

1    WHEREAS, Kathy Parker is survived by her husband of 61
2years, John E. "Jack" Parker; her sons, Kent (Elena) Parker
3and Marc (Stephanie) Parker; and her grandchildren, Sam,
4Madison, and Grant; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Kathleen E. "Kathy" Parker and extend our sincere condolences
8to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Kathy Parker as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
