SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jodie A. Kermarrec Broniec of
4Highland, who passed away on May 9, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec was born to Sylvia K. Ward and
6Garbo "Joe" Kermarrec in Reading, England on April 12, 1978;
7she graduated from St. Bartholomew's High School in Newbury,
8England; she and her family then moved to O'Fallon, Illinois;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec worked as an in-home nurses aide,
11caring for the elderly in Alton; she moved to Highland in 2000
12where she continued working as a nurses aide; she also worked
13at Ed & Millie's Tavern and, for the last year, at Peppermint
14Pre-School in Highland as a housekeeper; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec enjoyed being with family, arts and
16crafts, and baking; she was loved by her family and will be
17dearly missed; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jodie Broniec is survived by her mother and
19stepfather, Larry D. Ward; her father; her daughter, Bailei N.
20Broniec; her son, Ryley M. Broniec; her sisters, Zoe A. (Andy)
21Fry, Kerry A. Kermarrec, Linzi N. (Jerry) Foreman, and Shani

1L. (Marvin) Woods; and her stepbrother, Trevor D. Ward;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Jodie A. Kermarrec Broniec and extend our sincere condolences
6to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jodie Broniec as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
