SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of George L. McMahon, who passed away on
4September 29, 2020 at the age of 98; and
 
5    WHEREAS, George McMahon was born on February 17, 1922; and
 
6    WHEREAS, George McMahon was a resident of Burr Ridge at
7the time of his passing; he also once called Brookfield and
8Berwyn home; and
 
9    WHEREAS, George McMahon was a World War II Navy Seabee,
10who served in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters; and
 
11    WHEREAS, George McMahon was the longtime owner of McMahon
12Brothers Machine Works in Cicero; and
 
13    WHEREAS, George McMahon was preceded in death by his wife,
14Lorraine, and his sister, Mary (Albert) Muisenga; and
 
15    WHEREAS, George McMahon is survived by his son, Patrick M.
16McMahon, and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1George L. McMahon and extend our sincere condolences to his
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of George McMahon as an expression of
6our deepest sympathy.
