SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David Roarke Wilson; and
 
4    WHEREAS, David Wilson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to
5Bobby and Bessie Wilson on February 17, 1968; his family
6relocated to Chicago, and he attended Reformation Lutheran
7Elementary School; he loved the outdoors and football and was
8an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America; he graduated
9from Morgan Park High School in 1986 and attended Johnson C.
10Smith University in North Carolina as a student athlete; he
11later returned home and finished his post secondary education
12at North Park College, earning a bachelor's degree in 1991;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Wilson started his career on the
15communications staff of the Illinois General Assembly in 1993
16under the leadership of Senate President Emil Jones Jr.; and
 
17    WHEREAS, David Wilson married Aldine Harris in September
18of 2000; and
 
19    WHEREAS, David Wilson worked for other organizations,
20including the Illinois Federation of Teachers, the Schneider
21Corporation, the Rainbow Push Coalition, and the United States

1Census Bureau; and
 
2    WHEREAS, David Wilson enjoyed spending time with family
3and friends, especially childhood and lifetime friends Kevin,
4Stanley, and Mark; he enjoyed house music, history, and being
5silly; he and his family joined Lutheran Church of the Holy
6Spirit in 2006; he will forever be remembered for his sense of
7humor, his love for family and friends, and his laughter; and
 
8    WHEREAS, David Wilson was preceded in death by his son,
9Alexander Wilson; his father, Bobby Wilson; and his
10mother-in-law, Willa Harris; and
 
11    WHEREAS, David Wilson is survived by his wife, Aldine; his
12daughter, Amber McClatchey Wilson; his son, Aiden Wilson; his
13mother, Bessie Wilson; his brother, Robert Wilson; his sister,
14Diane Wilson; his pets, Thor and Thunder; his mother-in-law,
15Jeanette Harris; his father-in-law, Sam Harris Sr.; his
16brother-in-law, Sam (Brenda) Harris Jr.; his sister-in-law,
17Michelle (Steve) Hough; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews,
18nieces, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21David Roarke Wilson and extend our sincere condolences to his
22family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
