SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Elizabeth Francis "Betty" Pickerill
4of Worden, who passed away on March 2, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill was born in Worden to Allen A.
6Schneider and Gertrude (Straub) Schneider on December 28,
71946; she graduated from Worden High School; she married Dale
8Pickerill on December 31, 1980; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill worked as the manager of the
10Payroll Department and Finance Department for Webster
11University; she loved her job and her fellow employees; she
12took early retirement to be with her late husband, who was
13suffering from cancer; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill was a former member of St.
15Barbara's Church in Batchtown and a current member of the
16Worden Christian Church; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill enjoyed spending time with her
18family and traveling; she helped her husband work on the
19family history of the Pickerill and Schneider families; beside
20her husband, she enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee in the late
21afternoon and talking about anything and everything,

1especially their children and grandchildren; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill was preceded in death by her
3parents; her husband and best friend, Dale Henry Pickerill;
4and her brothers; Allen Schneider and John Schneider; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Betty Pickerill is survived by her daughter,
6Kerra Leigh Deaton; her son, Preston Richard (Amy Elizabeth)
7Hall; her stepchildren, Robert Scott (Stephanie) Pickerill,
8Patrick Wade Pickerill (Bruno Figueroa), Leslie Ann Pomatto,
9and Kerri Jean Niehaus; her grandchildren, Zackory Alexander
10Deaton, Alaina Elizabeth Hall, Savannah Dale Hall, Braden Dale
11Niehaus, Bryce Arthur Niehaus, Ashley Nichole Pomatto, Amanda
12Jo Pomatto, Audrey Alexandra Pickerill, and Lauren Elizabeth
13Bailey; and her sisters, Rosemarie (William) Pickerill, Violet
14Lyerla, Shirley (Robert) Prosser, and Gloria (John) Paolino;
15therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
18Elizabeth Francis "Betty" Pickerill and extend our sincere
19condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
20her; and be it further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
22presented to the family of Betty Pickerill as an expression of
