SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Charles D. "Chuck" Mockbee III of
4Danville, who passed away on February 23, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee was born on February 6, 1947; he
6grew up in the Jamesburg and Henning area; he graduated from
7the Bismarck-Henning High School; he attended Northern
8Illinois University; he earned his Juris Doctor from John
9Marshall Law School; he became a member of the Illinois Bar in
101975; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee represented District 2 on the
12Vermilion County Board; he served as Blount township assessor
13and as a precinct committeemen; he previously spent many years
14as a member of the Bismarck-Henning School Board; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee attended CrossRoads Christian
16Church; he was a member of the Bismarck Lions Club; he enjoyed
17reading history, including his genealogy, and watching
18University of Illinois sports; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee will be greatly missed by his
20family, friends, clients, and the community he served; and

1    WHEREAS, Chuck Mockbee is survived by his wife, Peggy; his
2sons, Eric (Becky), Charles IV (Rebecca), and Matthew (Lacy)
3Mockbee; his grandsons, Connor, Colton, Jonah, and Matson; his
4brother, Ronald (Janet) Mockbee; and his sisters, Gloria
5Crippin and Janice Mockbee; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Charles D. "Chuck" Mockbee III and extend our sincere
9condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Chuck Mockbee as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
