SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Charles Ralph of Moline, who passed
4away on February 18, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Charles Ralph was born to William and Irma
6(Dell'Antonia) Ralph in Shulter, Oklahoma on September 23,
71938; he married Loyola "Ann" Strawser in Coldwater, Michigan
8on April 6, 1959; he graduated from Tri-State University,
9where he studied chemical engineering; he served his country
10in the United States Army; and
 
11    WHEREAS, After his honorable discharge, Charles Ralph
12continued serving his country by working for the U.S.
13Government; most recently, he worked at the Rock Island
14Arsenal until his retirement in 1986; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Charles Ralph enjoyed Ham Radio and especially
16loved "county hunting," making a two way contact with a
17station in one of the 3077 counties in the United States; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Charles Ralph was preceded in death by his wife;
19his parents; and his grandson, Paul Joseph Parker; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Charles Ralph is survived by his children, Bill

1Ralph, Laurie Buckhahn, and Cheryl (James Karl) Dichiser; and
2his grandchildren, Jennifer Buckhahn, Melissa (Patrick)
3Cunningham, Christopher Buckhahn, Kathleen Dichiser, Alexander
4Dichiser, and Brian Dichiser; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Charles Ralph and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Charles Ralph as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
