SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert L. Pauley of Silvis, who passed
4away on February 5, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Pauley was born in Lucerne, Missouri to
6Guy and Lena (Pettit) Pauley on October 3, 1931; he enlisted in
7the U.S. Air Force in 1951, where he served with the Air Police
8until his honorable discharge in 1955; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Pauley worked at the Montgomery Wards in
10Moline, where he retired after 30 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Robert Pauley loved being surrounded by his
12family, telling jokes, and making people laugh; his life
13revolved around his family, and he loved family gatherings;
14his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his
15grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him
16Papa; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Robert Pauley was preceded in death by his
18parents; numerous siblings; and his sons, Kenneth and Lynn;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Robert Pauley is survived by his wife, Sherrie;

1his children, Bobbie (Harry) Stelling, Kim (Crystal) Pauley,
2Jim (Judy) Pauley, Mark (Jill) Pauley, Dani (Richard) Carter,
3and Nick (Amanda) Pauley; his brother, Skip (Donna) Pauley;
4his nephew, Rex (Carrie) Pauley; and many beloved
5grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Robert L. Pauley and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Robert Pauley as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
