SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James Edwin "Jim" Falline of Moline,
4who passed away on January 12, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Falline was born to Edwin and Myrtle (White)
6Falline on October 27, 1926; he served in the U.S. Navy during
7World War II; he married Mardelle Docherty in Rock Island on
8April 22, 1950; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jim Falline worked as a process engineer at the
10International Harvester Farmall Plant before retiring in 1985;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jim Falline was a member of Trinity Lutheran
13Church in Moline; he enjoyed golfing, watching the Chicago
14Bears and Cubs games, traveling, and spending time with
15family; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Falline was preceded in death by his sisters,
17Betty McCaw and Marylee Laut; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jim Falline is survived by his wife of 70 years,
19Mardelle; his children, Marsha Falline and Brian Falline; and
20his grandchildren, Dane Falline, Kade Falline, and Erin

1Falline; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4James Edwin "Jim" Falline and extend our sincere condolences
5to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
6it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Jim Falline as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
