SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Amends the Legislature Article of the Illinois Constitution. Provides
that no legislative action may be initiated on any bill in either house of
the General Assembly unless such bill was introduced in that house no
sooner than 14 days prior to the commencement of such action. Effective
upon being declared adopted.

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF
REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that there shall be
submitted to the electors of the State for adoption or
rejection at the general election next occurring at least 6
months after the adoption of this resolution a proposition to
amend the Illinois Constitution in Article IV by changing
Section 8 as follows:
(ILCON Art. IV, Sec. 8)
PASSAGE OF BILLS
(a) The enacting clause of the laws of this State shall be:
enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
