HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bobby
4Cagle Sr. of Peoria, who passed away on November 18, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bobby Cagle was born in Newport, Arkansas to
6Claude Julious and Mildred Cagle on July 25, 1939; he
7graduated from Peoria Manual High School; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Bobby Cagle retired from Caterpillar after 32
9years as a dedicated employee; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bobby Cagle was a devoted member of St. Luke's
11Baptist Church for many years; he loved old school and
12Cadillac cars; he was well-groomed and always dressed to
13perfection; he was very comical and loved by all; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bobby Cagle was preceded in death by his parents;
15his companion of many years, Gurthie Cagle; his sons, Kevin
16Cagle, Brian Page, and Thomas Shelby; his daughter, DaVene
17Jackson; his brothers, Claude Cagle Jr., Earl Edward Cagle,
18James Douglas Cagle, and William Cagle; his granddaughter,
19Sisely Cagle; and his grandson, Tylin Cagle Jr.; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Bobby Cagle is survived by his sons, Rev. Jeffery

1(Lysandra) Forman, Bobby Cagle Jr., Willie (Denise) Cagle Sr.,
2Darren (Tonya) Young Sr., Brandyn (Michelle) Cagle Sr., and
3Kevin Cockfield; his daughters, Robyn (Houston) Owens, Jessica
4Foreman, Rhonda Cagle, Robin (Delvin) Owen, Edna (Vernon)
5Johnson, Tammy Rayford, and Johnetta Rayford; his brother,
6Edward "Eugene" (Letha) Cagle; his sisters, Ruby Winters and
7Barbara Welch; his special cousin, Ora Lee Watkins; numerous
8grandchildren, great-grandchildren,
9great-great-grandchildren, and
10great-great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family
11members and friends; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn the passing of Bobby Cagle Sr. and extend our sincere
15condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
16him; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Bobby Cagle as an expression of our
19deepest sympathy.
