HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives are
3saddened to learn of the passing of Donna Curzon; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was born in Anderson, Indiana to
5Edward Joseph and Mary Agnes Curzon; early in her life, she
6moved to Sycamore, where she was raised with ten other
7siblings; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Donna Curzon attended St. Mary's Catholic School
9and graduated from Sycamore High School in 1979; she held
10multiple degrees and certifications; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was a frontline worker who served as
12a certified pharmacy technician for more than 15 years; she
13was known and loved by the patients she served; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Outside of work, Donna Curzon was devoted to her
15local community and often volunteered for many causes,
16including service as an officer in the DeKalb American Legion
17Auxiliary, Unit 66, and work for her family's charity, Wrapped
18in Love, which was dedicated to her late parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Donna Curzon loved the sunshine, the beach, and
20her favorite musicians, which included Tom Petty and the

1Heartbreakers; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Donna Curzon was a loving mother to her son
3Alexander and a sister to Kathleen Barrett, Margaret Hanna,
4and Mary Ellen Curzon-Price and her brothers, Edward, John,
5William, Thomas, Joseph, James, and Daniel; she was a loving
6aunt to her 20 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
8HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we mourn the passing of Donna Curzon and extend our sincere
10condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
11her; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That we declare March 12, 2021 to be the Donna
13Curzon Day of Service; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Donna Curzon as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
