SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
New Act

    Creates the Agricultural Experiences Act. Provides that licenses are not required for anyone trying to provide an "agricultural experience" which is defined as any agriculture-related activity, as a secondary use in conjunction with agricultural production, on a farm which activity is open to the public with the intended purpose of promoting or educating the public about agriculture, agricultural practices, agricultural activities, or agricultural products.

1    AN ACT concerning Agriculture.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 1. Short title. This Act may be cited as the
5Agricultural Experiences Act.
 
6    Section 5. Agricultural experiences.
7        (a) In this Section, "agricultural experience" means
8any agriculture-related activity, as a secondary use in
9conjunction with agricultural production, on a farm which
10activity is open to the public with the intended purpose of
11promoting or educating the public about agriculture,
12agricultural practices, agricultural activities, or
13agricultural products.
14        (b) To assist in the promotion of agricultural
15experiences, a county shall not require a conditional use
16permit, special use permit, special exception, or variance for
17agricultural experiences on property of which the primary use
18is agricultural production.
