1    AN ACT concerning civil law.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by
5changing Section 5-101 as follows:
 
6    (735 ILCS 5/5-101)  (from Ch. 110, par. 5-101)
7    Sec. 5-101. Security for costs. In all actions in any
8court on official bonds for the the use of any person, actions
9on the bonds of executors, administrators or guardians, qui
10tam actions, actions on a penal statute, and in all civil
11actions, where the plaintiff, or person for whose use an
12action is to be commenced, is not a resident of this State, the
13plaintiff, or person for whose use the action is to be
14commenced, shall, before he or she institutes such action,
15file, or cause to be filed, with the clerk of the court in
16which the action is to be commenced, security for costs,
17substantially in the following form:
18    A B v. C D - (Title of court.)
19    I, (E.F.) enter myself security for all costs which may
20accrue in the above entitled action.
