1    AN ACT concerning education.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended by
5adding Section 120 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 305/120 new)
7    Sec. 120. Adjunct professor; status of class.
8    (a) At least 30 days before the beginning of a term and
9again at 14 days before the beginning of the term, the Board of
10Trustees must notify an adjunct professor about the status of
11enrollment of the class the adjunct professor was hired to
12teach.
13    (b) The Board of Trustees shall allow an adjunct professor
14to have access to the electronic class roster that displays
15class enrollment to assist in assessing the status of the
16class.
17    (c) This Section does not apply if the Governor has
18declared a disaster due to a public health emergency or a
19natural disaster pursuant to Section 7 of the Illinois
20Emergency Management Agency Act.
21    (d) Collective bargaining agreements that are in effect on
22the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General
23Assembly are exempt from the requirements of this Section.

1    Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management
2Act is amended by adding Section 100 as follows:
 
3    (110 ILCS 520/100 new)
4    Sec. 100. Adjunct professor; status of class.
5    (a) At least 30 days before the beginning of a term and
6again at 14 days before the beginning of the term, the Board
7must notify an adjunct professor about the status of
8enrollment of the class the adjunct professor was hired to
9teach.
10    (b) The Board shall allow an adjunct professor to have
11access to the electronic class roster that displays class
12enrollment to assist in assessing the status of the class.
13    (c) This Section does not apply if the Governor has
14declared a disaster due to a public health emergency or a
15natural disaster pursuant to Section 7 of the Illinois
16Emergency Management Agency Act.
17    (d) Collective bargaining agreements that are in effect on
18the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General
19Assembly are exempt from the requirements of this Section.
 
20    Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended by
21adding Section 5-210 as follows:

18again at 14 days before the beginning of the term, the board
19must notify an adjunct professor about the status of class
20enrollment of the class the adjunct professor was hired to
21teach.
22    (b) The board shall allow an adjunct professor to have
23access to the electronic class roster that displays enrollment
