SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Constance T. "Connie" Montgomery of
4Cresco, Pennsylvania, formerly of Chicago, who passed away on
5July 13, 2020; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Connie Montgomery was born in Savannah, Georgia to
7Eddie Mazo and Florence (George) Mazo; she graduated from
8Cardinal Stritch College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; she earned
9her master's degrees from Roosevelt University and the
10University of Illinois; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Connie Montgomery taught and was an administrator
12at DuSable High School in Chicago; she later served as the
13principal of Future Commons High School in Chicago; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Connie Montgomery was a devoted member of the
15gospel choir at St. James Catholic Church in Chicago; she spent
16countless hours serving on numerous non-profit boards and
17passionately helped those in need; she will be greatly missed;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Connie Montgomery was preceded in death by her
20parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Connie Montgomery is survived by her son, David
2Montgomery; her daughter, Debra (Lawrence) Esposito; and her
3granddaughter, Nia Esposito; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Constance T. "Connie" Montgomery and extend our sincere
7condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
8her; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Connie Montgomery as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
