SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gerald D. "Jerry" Wachowiak of Waukegan,
4who passed away on March 2, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Wachowiak was born in Waukegan to Joseph and
6Lorraine Wachowiak on April 2, 1942; he graduated from Waukegan
7High School in 1960 and served in the United States Air Force
8from 1961 until 1965; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jerry Wachowiak retired from the Sara Lee plant in
10Deerfield; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jerry Wachowiak was an avid fan of the Chicago
12White Sox and attended many games; he was a member of Most
13Blessed Trinity Parish, Queen of Peace Site (formerly Holy
14Rosary) in North Chicago; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jerry Wachowiak was preceded in death by his
16parents; his brother, Joseph; and his sister, Lillian; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jerry Wachowiak is survived by his wife of 52
18years, Elizabeth "Betty"; his children, Diane (Steve) Bunk,
19Deborah (Paul) Fiegen, Gerard Wachowiak, Catherine Wachowiak,
20and Judith (Jodie) Charo; his grandchildren, Steven (Ashley)

1Bunk, Lizzie Bunk, Ryan Fiegen, Megan Fiegen, Mandy Fiegen,
2Brynn Charo, and Josie Wachowiak; his great-grandchild,
3Kaitlynn Bunk; and his sister, Louise Wachowiak; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Gerald D. "Jerry" Wachowiak and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Jerry Wachowiak as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
