SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gordon M. McCluskey of Lockport, who
4passed away on March 22, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was born on July 13, 1935; he
6graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1953; he earned
7a degree in Civil Engineering from the Illinois Institute of
8Technology; he served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey dedicated his life to public
10service; he retired as a Lockport City Administrator in 1996
11after 28 years of service and then served as a Lockport Fire
12Department trustee and a trustee for Canal & Trails Credit
13Union; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was a past member of the Lockport
15Moose Lodge 1557; he enjoyed golfing; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey was preceded in death by his
17parents, Marion and Evelyn (Cochran) McCluskey; his brother,
18Roger (Judy) McCluskey; his brother, Gary McCluskey; his
19sister, Virginia Cashman; and his brother, Richard Whiting; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Gordon McCluskey is survived by his wife, Ruth

1McCluskey; his sons, Jeff McCluskey and Mark (Christine)
2McCluskey; his sisters, Linda (Jay) Malvin and Shirley (Keith)
3Casler; his sister-in-law, Carol (the late Gary) McCluskey; his
4grandchildren, Nick (Melissa) Seeman, Mitch McCluskey, and Max
5McCluskey; his great-grandchildren, Aniston and Gavin Seeman;
6and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Gordon M. McCluskey and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Gordon McCluskey as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
