SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Catherine Elizabeth Loveless of Brighton,
4who passed away on May 3, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Catherine Loveless was born in Litchfield to Rita
6(Kahl) Link on February 14, 1973; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Catherine Loveless worked at Alton Steel as a yard
8leader and EMO driver for 15 years; in the past, she had been a
9volunteer with the Brighton Fire Department; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Catherine Loveless was gifted artistically; she
11enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts and possessed a
12giving heart; she was a member of the Illinois Valley
13Blacksmith Association; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Catherine Loveless was preceded in death by her
15grandmothers, Ruth Kahl and Violeta Loveless; her uncle and
16godfather, Ricky Lee Kahl; and her stepbrother, Stephen Link;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Catherine Loveless is survived by her mother,
19Rita; her grandfather, Robert Kahl Sr.; her stepsiblings,
20Kimberly (Dustin) Wiegand and David (Nicole) Link; her half

2O'Neil; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Catherine Elizabeth Loveless and extend our sincere
8condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Catherine Loveless as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
