SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene Hunter Sr.; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was born to Flabe and Lucious Hunter
5in his maternal grandparents' home in Hushpuckena, Mississippi
6on September 9, 1951; his family moved to Chicago in 1953, and
7he attended Schiller and Manierre Elementary Schools; he
8completed his education at Beethoven Elementary School,
9DuSable Upper Grade Center, and DuSable High School; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was a strong, loving, and caring big
11brother to seven younger siblings; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter committed to his faith at an early
13age; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter was preceded in death by his
15parents; his brother, Lucious Calmese; his sister, Delores; and
16his younger brother, Calvin; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Hunter is survived by his daughters,
18Charmtell and Antoinette Taylor; his son, Eugene Hunter Jr.;
19his sisters, Willie Ruth Calmese, Marilyn Davis, State Sen.
20Mattie Hunter, Brenda Hunter, Bonita Ersery, and Angela Hunter;

1his brothers, James Calmese, Curtis Davis, and Donovan Hunter;
2five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other
3relatives, and good friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Eugene Hunter Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Eugene Hunter as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
