SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Glen D. Dickinson of Rock Island, who
4passed away on January 7, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson was born on July 22, 1929 in Moline
6to Ralph and Edna (Anderson) Dickinson; he honorably served his
7country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean and
8Vietnam War; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson married Andree Bousseronde-Stokes
10on June 22, 1975 in Rock Island; he enjoyed camping,
11vacationing in Texas, working with stained glass, watching
12sports, and playing cards, especially euchre; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson was preceded in death by his wife,
14Andree; his parents Ralph and Edna; sisters, Charlotte Kribble,
15Doris Clevenger, and Loretta Kassel; and brothers Ralph,
16Eugene, Roger, and Donald Dickinson; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson is survived by his children,
18William Stokes, Larry Stokes, Kathy (David) Rice, Kenneth
19(Linda) Stokes, and Doreen Leahy; eight grandchildren, seven
20great-grandchildren; siblings, Pauline Gabbert and James
21Dickinson; and many extended family members and friends;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Glen D. Dickinson and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Glen Dickinson as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
