SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kevin Levell Singleton; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Kevin Singleton was born in Chicago to Andrew D.
5Sr. and Maggie Mozell Singleton on January 18, 1970; he
6attended Pirie Elementary School, where he served on the
7student Council and as a tutor; he graduated from the Beasley
8Academic Center in 1984 and Morgan Park High School in 1988;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, After high school, Kevin Singleton worked various
11jobs and continued his education; and
 
12    WHEREAS, As a child, Kevin Singleton was a member of the
13Apostolic Church of God in Chicago; later, he became a member
14of Victory Apostolic Church; he had a tremendous sense of humor
15and stayed up to date on politics and world events; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kevin Singleton was preceded in death by his
17father, Andrew D. Singleton Sr. and his twin brother, Keith;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Kevin Singleton is survived by his mother, Maggie
20Mozell Singleton; his sister, Linda (Larry) Bell; his brothers,

1Andrew (Brenda) Singleton Jr., Earnest Singleton, Nyabingi
2(Theresa) Kuti, and Eddie Terell Singleton; numerous nieces and
3nephews; four great-nieces and four great-nephews; and
4numerous uncles, aunts, and friends; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Kevin Levell Singleton and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Kevin Singleton as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
