SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert E. "Bob" Collis of East Moline,
4who passed away on September 27, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Collis was born in Moline to Charles W. and
6Flora M. Walthers Collis on September 19, 1931; he served in
7the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed
8in Germany; he married Francis Rusk; he later married Linda B.
9Bowles on February 14, 1981; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Bob Collis was employed as a data processing
11professor at Black Hawk College and retired in 1989 after 20
12years of service; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Bob Collis was a proud member of the American
14Legion Post 227 East Moline; he enjoyed playing golf, fishing,
15and winning at cards; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Bob Collis was preceded in death by his parents;
17his daughters, Barbara Collis and Sandra Bullock; and several
18siblings; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bob Collis is survived by his wife; his son,
20Robert (Diane Hendricks) Collis Jr.; his stepsons, Eric

1Youngren and Mike (Nora) Youngren; and his brothers, Dave
2Collis and Jack (Mary Ellen) Collis; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Robert E. "Bob" Collis and extend our sincere condolences to
6his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Bob Collis as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
