SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward "Ed" Woods of Carbon Cliff, who
4passed away on September 26, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ed Woods was born in Silvis to Carl and Sophie
6(Roszczyk) Woods on December 7, 1936; he served in the United
7States Air Force; he married Lois Prine in Moline on December
831, 1963; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ed Woods owned and operated Woods Garage in East
10Moline and the Barstow Airport; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ed Woods was a loving husband, father,
12grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ed Woods was preceded in death by his parents; his
15brother, Jerry; and his sister, Joyce; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ed Woods is survived by his wife, Lois; his
17children, Brenda (Dwayne) Loete, Debra Killian-Sebelien, Joyce
18Grumadas, Timothy (Yvonne) Woods, Kathleen Grumadas, and
19Dominic Woods; his brother, Dennis (Diane) Woods; his
20sister-in-law, Shirley; ten grandchildren; and many

1great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Edward "Ed" Woods and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Ed Woods as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
