SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ralph Eugene Kroll of Moline, who passed
4away on August 17, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Kroll was born in Muskegon, Michigan to
6Charles and Anna (Voras) Kroll on July 11, 1934; he served as a
7sergeant in the United States Army, where he was a combat
8engineering specialist and was awarded the National Defense
9Service Medal; he married Martha Maki on December 6, 1958; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ralph Kroll was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran
11Church; he was an avid sports fan and never missed a Michigan
12Wolverines game; he and Martha enjoyed traveling and opening
13their home and hearts, especially on Thanksgiving; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ralph Kroll was preceded in death by his parents;
15two sisters; and a brother; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ralph Kroll is survived by his wife of 60 years,
17Martha; his children and their spouses, Lynda and Terri Nelson,
18Sharon and James Bolek, Anita Ingold and Frank Muchia, Beverly
19Carlile, and Lawrence and Jennifer Kroll; his 14 grandchildren;
20his 22 great-grandchildren; and nine brothers; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Ralph Eugene Kroll and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Ralph Kroll as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
