SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Stefan Niedorezo, who passed away on
4August 21, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo was born on August 30, 1953; he
6began his art studies in Tarnow, Poland, where he specialized
7in the design and creation of sculpture, as well as classic
8furniture; he earned a Master of Art in Sculpture from the
9Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland with a specialization in
10stone, wood, and bronze sculpture; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo was a sculptor and draftsman who
12specialized in the creation and conservation of sculpture; he
13left behind a great artistic output of commissioned projects,
14from large monuments to interior decorations, including
15figures of saints, altar decorations, and crosses that adorn
16the churches of numerous Polish parishes; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Stefan Niedorezo worked as a teacher of sculpture
18for many years; he also provided arts and crafts education to
19the Polish community in Chicago; together with his wife,
20Barbara, and sons, Jakub and Maciek, he managed Artorium Inc.,
21a private, family-run art studio that offers various visual art

1classes for children and adults, including drawing, painting,
2and sculpting; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Stefan Niedorezo and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Stefan Niedorezo as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
