SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Fred J. Rasso Sr. formerly of Moline, who
4passed away on July 5, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Rasso Sr. was born in Silvis to John and
6Maria Rasso on March 3, 1924; he served in the United States
7Navy during World War II; he married Florentina P. "Tina" Palos
8in Moline on March 17, 1946; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Fred Rasso Sr. was employed at the Rock Island
10Arsenal and Mid-American Energy; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Fred Rasso Sr. enjoyed spending time with his
12family and pets, gardening, traveling, and watching football,
13basketball, and the Chicago Cubs; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Fred Rasso Sr. was preceded in death by his
15parents; his wife, Tina; his six siblings; and his oldest son,
16Stan; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Fred Rasso Sr. is survived by his sons, Terry
18(Marti) Rasso, Gary (Corinne) Rasso, Fred Rasso Jr., and
19Charles (Jolene) Rasso; his 17 grandchildren; his 18
20great-grandchildren; and his six great-great-grandchildren;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Fred J. Rasso Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Fred Rasso Sr. as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
