SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marc Dennis Butler of Canton, formerly of
4Lewistown, who passed away on July 3, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marc Butler was born in Lewistown to Homer Davis
6and Phyllis Lee (Ashby) Butler on December 3, 1951; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Marc Butler worked for Fulton FS in Lewistown for
8most of his career, where he took great care of his many
9faithful customers; he also worked for International Harvester
10and CIC in Canton and farmed for 15 years; after retirement, he
11helped his brother John on his farm and enjoyed woodworking;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marc Butler was a member of the Lewistown United
14Methodist Church; he first joined the Lewistown Masonic Lodge
15A.F. & A.M. 104 and was a member of several other lodges
16throughout his life; he was a member of the Fulton County Farm
17Bureau; he was kind, patient, and generous and devoted to his
18family and many friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Marc Butler was preceded in death by his parents;

1    WHEREAS, Marc Butler is survived by his wife, Judith Ann;
2his daughter from his first marriage to Carol Lynn Webb,
3Elizabeth Ellen; his brother, John (Kathy) Butler; his sisters,
4Pam (Gordon) Ford and Mary Ellen "Mimi" Butler; his stepsons,
5Cory and Jeff (Tabatha) Hart; his stepgrandchildren, Reece,
6Hannah, Ian, and Zoe Hart; his nieces, Jill (Jeff) Jones, Jenny
7(Jay) Mikan, and Gretchen (Brent) Bice; and his nephews, Jared
8(Jamie) and Ben (Justine) Butler; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Marc Dennis Butler and extend our sincere condolences to his
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Marc Butler as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
