SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David Fisk of Prophetstown, who passed
4away on June 19, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Fisk was born in Sterling to Harold and
6Margaret (Carstensen) Fisk on September 1, 1938; he graduated
7from Prophetstown High School in 1956 and served in the U.S.
8Navy; he married Anita Johnson in Norfolk, Virginia on August
919, 1957; and
 
10    WHEREAS, David Fisk worked as a lineman for the Contel
11Telephone Company (Frontier) for over 40 years, retiring in
122003; he also served with the Prophetstown Fire Department for
13many years, 17 as fire chief; and
 
14    WHEREAS, David Fisk enjoyed fishing, wood working, and
15gardening; he was quite fond of his black raspberry bushes and
16was considered a jack of all trades by his family; he adored
17his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved spending
18time with his dogs; he was a past member of the First
19Congregational Church in Prophetstown and a lifetime member of
20the Polo VFW; and
 
21    WHEREAS, David Fisk was preceded in death by his parents; a

1sister; and a brother; and
 
2    WHEREAS, David Fisk is survived by his wife, Anita; his
3daughter, Leslie (Patrick) McPherson; his sons, Michael and
4Trevor (Jodi) Fisk; his grandchildren, Libby, David (Lora),
5Steve, Maggie (Matt), Amanda (Tim), Mallory (Stacey), Brandon
6(Katie), Caitlin (Casey), Casey, Kendra, Tari, Kolton, Erin,
7and Dana; and his great-grandchildren, Westen, Maryn, Barrett,
8Myah, Lindsey, Grant, Dean, Chloe, Parker, Paisley, and Kalvin;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12David Fisk and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
13friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Fisk as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
