SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph S. "Joe" Zmuda of East Moline, who
4passed away on June 15, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was born to Josef and Helen (Gruszeckza)
6Zmuda on November 1, 1931; he received his bachelor's degree
7from St. Ambrose; he served in the United States Army during
8the Korean Conflict; he married Murrel "Mo" Moller in Rock
9Island on October 1, 1959; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was a sales representative for USG and
11retired as a management consultant for Gypsum Supply,
12Bettendorf; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was a committee member of Ducks
14Unlimited; he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed
15family trips to the cabin in Bellevue, Iowa; he strongly
16supported the higher education and success of his
17grandchildren; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda was preceded in death by his wife, Mo;
19his infant son, Joseph Zmuda Jr.; his sister, Bernice; and his
20brothers, Ben and Ed; and

1    WHEREAS, Joe Zmuda is survived by his children, Steve
2Zmuda, Mark (Stacy) Zmuda, and Jeff (Jill) Zmuda; his
3grandchildren, Matthew (Maggie), Kayla, Caleb, Scott, Bethany,
4Jenna, and Julia; his great-grandson, Carter; his brother, Walt
5Zmuda; and his sisters-in-law, Jeannine and Adeline;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Joseph S. "Joe" Zmuda and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joe Zmuda as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
