SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alvin F. Anderson, formerly of East
4Moline, who passed away on June 12, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alvin Anderson was born in Stamford, Connecticut
6to George F. Anderson and Mary Mark on December 17, 1949; he
7graduated from United Township High School in 1967 and attended
8Iowa Central College, playing football in both high school and
9college; he served in the United States Army; he married Maxine
10Ballard in Rock Island on May 26, 2009; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alvin Anderson worked in coolant recycling
12maintenance at the Rock Island Arsenal for over 37 years and
13retired in April 2017; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Alvin Anderson was an avid bowler and a member of
15the Rock Island Arsenal Bowling League; he watched movies
16repeatedly to perfect his knowlege of movie trivia; he enjoyed
17bike riding, exercising, cars, and motorcycles; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Alvin Anderson was preceded in death by his
19parents; his daughter, Kenya Anderson; and his sister, Betty
20Hubbard; and

1    WHEREAS, Alvin Anderson is survived by his wife, Maxine;
2his daughters, Aisha Anderson and Khadijah Anderson; his sons,
3Jeremy Anderson and Christopher (Qiana) Ballard; his six
4grandchildren; his great-grandchild; his sister, Lucille
5Paris; his brother, Sinclair (Gwen) Patterson; and his many
6nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Alvin F. Anderson and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Alvin Anderson as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
