SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alfred Richard "Fred" Stryzs of
4Cleveland, who passed away on June 4, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs was born in Wilmington, Delaware to
6Alfred A. and Mary (Radulski) Stryzs on May 12, 1948; he was
7drafted into the United States Army, where he served with the
89th Infantry Division in Vietnam and was awarded several
9medals; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs worked in construction initially as a
11surveyor and later found his niche as a project superintendent;
12he worked all over the United States, including Iowa, where he
13met Shari Lutz; they married in Las Vegas in 2003; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs enjoyed saltwater fishing, the beach,
15spending time with "the usual suspects", casinos, a fine
16whisky, a good cigar, and family; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Fred Stryzs is survived by his wife, Shari; his
18children, David (Roxanne) Heinig, Amber Waggoner, Lacey
19(David) Fox, and Taylor (Joe Kubly) Satterly; his
20grandchildren, Matthew, Gwendalyn "Da", Buzz, Elise, Vincent,
21Evalette, Julien, and Cole; his great-grandson, Archer; and his

1brothers, Stan (Dee) Stryzs and Bill (Pat) Stryzs; therefore,

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Alfred Richard "Fred" Stryzs and extend our sincere condolences
6to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Fred Stryzs as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
