SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jack D. Gentry of Silvis, who passed away
4on May 24, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jack Gentry was born in Atkinson to Ralph and Ruth
6(DeWolf) Gentry on September 12, 1932; he served in the United
7States Army; he married Elaine Cosner in Sterling on January
826, 1969; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jack Gentry worked as a truck driver for 25 years
10and retired in 1995; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jack Gentry was preceded in death by his brother,
12Raymond Gentry; his sister, Connie Edwards; and his
13stepdaughter, Linda Staples; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jack Gentry is survived by his wife of 50 years,
15Elaine Gentry; his children, Bonnie (John) DeMarlie, Carol
16(Allen) Deyoe, Susan (Mark) Vaughn, and David Peterson; his
17many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings,
18Winiford (Ruth) Gentry, Roy Gentry, Richard (Pat) Gentry, Keith
19(Sandra) Gentry, Jim (Audrey) Gentry, and Sheryl (Mike)
20Lewsader; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Jack D. Gentry and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Jack Gentry as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
