SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Arthur F. "Freddy" Cheek of Moline, who
4passed away on June 4, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Freddy Cheek was born in Hannibal, Missouri to
6Fred and Anna Amelia Groene Cheek on June 17, 1926; he served
7in the United States Navy during World War II; he married Ella
8Mae Shoemyer in Hannibal, Missouri on September 5, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Freddy Cheek worked as a guard at Farmall for 33
10years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Freddy Cheek enjoyed fishing and golf and was an
12avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Freddy Cheek was preceded in death by his
14grandson, Joshua; his sisters, Virginia and Marcella; and his
15son-in-law, Tony; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Freddy Cheek is survived by his wife, Ella Mae;
17his children, Judy (John) Cate and Mary Campagna; his
18grandsons, Matthew (Melissa) Cate and Joey (Eileen) Campagna;
19and his great-grandchildren, Evan, Emily, and Anthony;
20therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Arthur F. "Freddy" Cheek and extend our sincere condolences to
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Freddy Cheek as an expression of our
8deepest sympathy.
